My Avis experience was very good. The employees nice and friendly my full size pickup truck was great
I'm giving 2 stars and not 1 because they at least they had my car unlike the others before me. Long line and waited forever. It was a chaotic scene. Never experienced anything like it a rental car agency before. Never using Avis again. My first and only time. Oh, the shuttle is efficient as I never had to wait for one.
When I was picking up a car they gave me a car that was already rented to someone else, and I didn't find out till I was at the exit kiosk. Then, they tried to give me a car that was a lower level that what was reserved because they were having difficulty finding something. When I was checking the car back in I told the attendant that I was going to check out with a out with a different card to save myself 3%, but when I went inside they said it could not be changed because the transaction was already closed out.
Cheap company. Their system was down nationwide and had to wait for an hour and 15 min to tell me at the end they don’t have any cars available although I made reservation online and paid in full. To get refund, they need to open a case that takes 10 days. Pay a little more and rent from enterprise. Pay for your peace of mind
Poor experience with car pick up service (took over an hour to get my car because no cars were ready even though several customers came in to the counter several times because they weren’t being helped to return their cars... causing me to have to skip lunch and be late to my first meeting), poor experience with my car (left plenty of time to refuel but the gas cap lever was nowhere to be found so I ended up paying an extra fee even though I spent 15 min watching YouTube videos trying to get the gas cap open), poor experience returning my car (the man opened my trunk which had private items in it and then watched me struggle to pull my suitcase out and offered no assistance), then the shuttle nearly pulled away as I was walking up even though he looked right at me, and then the shuttle driver also watched me struggle with my suitcase and offered no assistance
