Best south Indian restaurant in Raleigh. Had an amazing time. Felt like I was in some restaurant in Bangalore. If you visit Raleigh, please don't forget to savour the flavors of South India. Great variety of veg and non veg items. Indian ambience. Very reasonable price.
The weekday buffet lunch is good. It has a decent spread and they restock the bread freshly made. We have ordered most of the entrees in the a la carte dinner and they don't taste that different. We would prefer a few more different entree choices.
Visited this newly opened place recently. The decor was average but it was spacious with a lot of seating. Our appetizer orders were taken promptly. However two appetizers out of five we ordered were not served for a long time. We had to remind to get them. We placed main course orders while having appetizers. A few non veg main course items came quickly, then followed by the forgotten appetizers. But remaining main course items were served with 10 to 15 minutes gap between each. That resulted in our group waiting for food most of the time. Finally we ran out of patience having waited for dosas for more than an hour and cancelled all remaining orders. We were told the delay is due to the rush, which was a joke because there were 4 tables full out of 30 or 40 they have. Food taste was okay for some items but most of it was very oily and tasteless. Never going back here and won't recommend it anyone else.
It feels very good to have such a restaurant serving delicious food. We have arranged a dinner of 55+ people there, and we are very happy with their services. They were very patient with the kids, kept the restaurant open 30 minutes more after passing the closing time and served complimentary golapjamun to everyone. Everyone was very happy and satisfied. We look forward to go there again.
