Website allowed me to check in @ 8:30 pm saying 20 mins wait time.i went there at 8:50 pm and the person said I cannot cut sorry even after I mentioned the website said 20 mins wait time and I checked in online.
I don't normally write terrible reviews for a place, but I had a pretty ridiculous experience today. First of all, I'm a new mom so I have a tiny baby at home. I wanted a quick trim so thought I'll go somewhere that's not pricey. I didn't mind my 50 minute wait as I really needed that trim to keep my hair healthy since I literally haven't stepped out to do something for myself in a while (given breastfeeding, putting baby to sleep, the usual new mom stuff). Given this, my hair is obviously not my first priority right now. After my long wait, this lady sits me down in the chair, takes one look and feel of my hair and makes a face of ridicule. She says (very loudly) "OMG I can't even get into this hair. I need you to go home, take out the tangles and come back." Granted, I have thick East Asian hair which tangles easily. But I've never had a hair stylist tell me she "just can't." Seriously, while writing this review, I just took out the tangles myself by finger combing through them lady - pretty sure you were too lazy at the end of the day to do your job. And I'm pretty sure as a HAIR stylist, detangling HAIR a bit is part of the job description...am I right? Anyways, so I left and it was humiliating if not a HUGE waste of my 1 hour away from my baby. So thanks a lot Great Clips for nothing. I thought I'd save a buck, but I'd rather pay $50 at Aveda for the service, the intelligent and culturally sensitive staff who value my time.
Worst place to get hair cut, just now my son got it and when I complained to manager, she defended the person who cut hairs
Hair stylist Taura is simply the best. She is an expert. I agree with other reviews though As I had my share of bad hair cuts and rude stylist in past. I hope Taura lasts longer here as management keeps changing good ones.
Wish I could give a rating less than zero. The customer service and experience has been going down hill over the past few years. I do not usually write any reviews especially negative ones. My experience today. I walk in around 11 am, I am greeted by a hair dresser and am asked whether i checked in. I say no. The dresser lets me know it is a 40min wait. I see 2 people waiting and about 4 people getting haircut. I decide to walk out and as I am leaving, the greeter asks me do I know how to check in online. I responded with a yes and that was a last straw for me with this place. The place had a big sign that said walkin welcome and was lit. Given the number Who were present and the number of dresses I would have waited but for the last question about checking in online. I went to great clips at Morrisville Walmart complex. Was in and out in 15 mins and a fantastic experience and was worth the extra 10 min drive. I have been going this McCrimmon Corner Great Clips for the last 10 years. The last 3 hair cuts have been poor service, insulting hair dresser and a system that does not know how to manage online checkin and walkin. There are plenty of other options around here. I Hope the management Will train their dressers to provide good service and at the least stop insulting their customers.
