Brittany, thank you. If we're ever back in North Carolina, we'd feel confident being at the Park West 14 again.
This theater gets five stars because of their manager, Brittany. Brittany was willing to listen to us gripe about the experience and truly gave the impression of empathy for our disappointment. Cell phones are a reality today as much as the rude people who think the "put your phone away" announcements at the start of the film don't apply to them, but it's nice to know there are still theater operators out there who are willing to just listen to your tirades and make you feel like you aren't just some crazy old couple that isn't hip with the times.
Tried to give a negative-star review but that wasn't an option. The management and staff in general were far to concerned about not letting sixteen year olds (the age is 17) into R rated movies than doing their real jobs. It is perfectly lawful to allow kids in under the theaters consent and not only would they not sell us a ticket but had to spend the remainder of their shifts stocking and confining us to a particular part of the theater. You will not find me at Park West 14 again, if your smart you'll go to Carmike across the street.
Used to love going to this place. Walked in with my bag, and they asked me to leave it behind their desk (which is easily accessible for anyone, even those without a ticket, as no one was standing behind it). I don't feel safe at all doing that, so I don't plan on going back.
This is a nice theater. It has stadium seating, leather seats that lean back. The arm rests lift up. It is in a nice little shopping center. There were not power reclining seats, and I did not see an option to reserve a specific seat for the show I went to see, so it doesn't get 5 stars. It is newer than a lot of theaters in the area, so I would choose this one again over other options. Power reclining seats would be nice. Also, the seats were just a bit narrow. I'm not very big, but it did feel a little small. Not uncomfortable, but small.
We had a not-so-great experience in the theater while watching "IT". Several other movie goers decided they the needed to be on their phones, while others felt the need to narrate the entire film with their own commentary. Unfortunately, when you go to a theater these days, these are just things you might encounter.
We love this theater! Always a good selection of files and scrumptious snacks. Polite and helpful staff. CLEAN, CLEAN, CLEAN. No sticking to floor or seats. Seats are very comfortable.
